A veterinarian cataloguing life's most tiresome people meets a woman who shares his exasperation.

The story

From the day his son is born, veterinarian Henry Sauveur begins running through a long list of people who make life miserable, from an ever-present sister and an excessively talkative mistress to a friend with persistent romantic troubles and someone constantly glued to a phone. He also encounters a pessimistic guest and a woman showing off her knowledge of a pointless subject. Through yet another of these nuisances, Henry crosses paths with Louise, who appears just as exasperated by such people as he is. Their meeting raises the question of whether they can love each other in peace without someone coming along to bother them.

Full plot (contains spoilers)

From the day his son is born, veterinarian Henry Sauveur runs through the long, long list of nuisances who, from the cradle to the grave, make your life miserable. There is the ever-present sister, the excessively talkative mistress, the friend with perpetual romantic troubles, and the one who is permanently glued to his phone; the pessimistic guest and the female guest showing off her knowledge of some pointless subject. Then one day, through yet another one of these nuisances, he crosses paths with Louise, who seems just as exasperated as he is by these pests. But is it possible to love each other in peace without someone coming along to bother you?
