The story
On Terre-de-Haut in the Saintes archipelago, fishermen bring ashore the body of Caroline Boissaux, owner of the Tourment d'Amour hotel. Captain Gaëlle Boissaux, who is also from Les Saintes but is not related to Caroline, leads the investigation. It takes a personal turn when Ludovic Augustin, a love from her youth and a native of Terre-de-Bas, is assigned to the island to help her. As they investigate, they must also contend with a ghost terrorizing the population; some say it may be Caroline's ghost.

On a beach on Terre-de-Haut, in the Saintes archipelago, fishermen bring ashore the body of Caroline Boissaux, owner of the Tourment d'Amour hotel. According to local legend, 200 years earlier, a woman from Les Saintes who was in love with the Chevalier de Fréminville threw herself from that same cliff, Morne Morel, out of heartbreak. The investigation led by Captain Gaëlle Boissaux, who is also from Les Saintes but is not related to Caroline, takes a personal turn when Ludovic Augustin, a love from her youth and a native of Terre-de-Bas, is assigned to the island to help her. The investigators are in for more surprises: in addition to a romantic story that echoes their past, they must apprehend a ghost terrorizing the population! Some say it may be Caroline's ghost…
