The story
At the launch and blessing of The Unsinkable, a champagne bottle pierces its hull. Furious, shipyard director Louis-Philippe Fourchaume immediately fires designer André Castagnier, not yet knowing that Castagnier’s small sailboat, Petit Baigneur, has just won the Sanremo Regattas and Sailing Oscar in Italy. Once he learns of the awards and their commercial promise, Fourchaume has one Sunday, with his wife, to make amends and persuade Castagnier to work for him again. But Italian industrialist Marcello Cacciapuoti is already courting the inventor with a lucrative offer and has visited him at his family farm.
