Full plot (contains spoilers)

This is the story of a young boy, Marc, who lives with his mother and stepfather in an apartment in Sète. One day, his mother finds a gun at his place and asks him where it came from. A phone rings. It is his sister, Jessica, who is supposed to be dead. Marc runs away from home with the gun in his hand and holds up a perfume shop so he can go and find his sister. A police officer, Gérard, who knows him, spots him on the road, approaches him, and gets him into his car to question him, then offers to drive him to school. Marc refuses, because he wants to meet his sister, and decides to take the police officer hostage so he will drive him to Montpellier. They make a deal: Marc agrees to turn himself in at the police station if he can see his sister first. The two finally arrive at Jessica’s apartment, and leave together. When they get to Sète, Marc decides to return the money to the perfume shop, but after giving the money back, he runs away. The next day, Marc goes to school accompanied by Gérard. He has an idea in mind: to take back his real family name, which he believes is the cause of all his misbehavior, and he asks the school principal to make the change official, but the principal refuses and calls the police. Very angry, Marc returns to the car, and he and Gérard decide to go to the police station together.
