The story
Sentenced to 12 years for aggravated robbery, Eric Lambrecht has served his first six years in relative isolation. Chief guard Isnard, known as “White Cap,” repeatedly harasses and humiliates him, sending him to the disciplinary cell in an effort to break his resolve. When Eric is imprisoned again, Isnard offers to help him escape if he breaks into the director’s safe, which holds a large sum of money. If Eric refuses, Isnard threatens to make his life a living hell.

Sentenced to 12 years in prison for aggravated robbery, Eric Lambrecht has served the first six years in relative isolation. The repeated harassment and humiliations inflicted on him by chief guard Isnard (aka “White Cap”) regularly get him sent to the disciplinary cell in an attempt to break his spirit. But his resolve remains unshaken. During a later period of imprisonment, Isnard offers to help him escape in exchange for his breaking into the director’s safe, which contains a large sum of money… but if he refuses, Isnard will make his life a living hell.
