The story
During the winter of 1917, the murder of a little girl known as the young “Belle de Jour” throws a peaceful village near the front line into turmoil. A mysterious, suspicious prosecutor named Destinat, the cynical judge Mierck, and Colonel Matziev, his unsettling associate, are drawn into the crime. A police officer, horrified by what he discovers, investigates while also living through a personal tragedy.
