Full plot (contains spoilers)

Antoine, a thirty-something night owl, prowls the bars and nightclubs of Paris, using his gift of the gab to get into the capital’s most exclusive venues. One evening, he manages to get into a private party by dropping the name of Jordan, whom he had heard about a little earlier. But the host of the party, a UN diplomat named von Bülow, offers Antoine a million if he can track down the elusive Jordan. With the help of his friend Étienne, Antoine begins gathering clues in his search for Jordan and eventually meets Jordan’s sister, the captivating Violaine, with whom he ends the evening. But this is only the beginning of Antoine’s troubles: Violaine drugs him, and at daybreak he finds himself wandering through Paris covered in blood, as if he had been the victim of a vampire attack. Von Bülow also puts him under pressure, forcing him to produce results quickly with threats; Antoine has to take ever greater risks, delving into the seediest circles of nocturnal Paris as he investigates the mysterious couple.
