During a dinner party where Rachel is working as a cook, the three men rob a guest’s apartment across from her kitchen. The job goes wrong when Jérémie spots a painting by Tamara de Lempicka and takes it despite Sam’s objection. The alarm sounds, and Nathan is arrested as Sam and Jérémie flee with the painting. Immediately afterward, Sam accuses Rachel of exploiting her children throughout their lives and says he never wants to see her again.

Full plot (contains spoilers)

Rachel is an old-school con artist with a vivid imagination and a remarkable flair for cooking. She had the same path in mind for her two sons, Sam and Jérémie, without neglecting her grandson Nathan. One evening, while she is working as a cook at a dinner party hosted by her employer, Sam, Jérémie and Nathan are robbing the apartment of one of the guests, which is across from Rachel’s kitchen. Rachel has set up the job. The heist goes wrong when Jérémie spots a painting that turns out to be a work by Tamara de Lempicka. Despite Sam’s objection that it will be cumbersome for the rest of the operation, Jérémie takes the painting down. The alarm sounds at once, and the father, son and uncle make their escape. Nathan is arrested as he leaves the building, in full view of Sam and Jérémie, who is carrying the painting. The two brothers have no choice but to get away from the scene. Immediately after the heist, Sam accuses Rachel of exploiting her children their whole lives and says he never wants to see her again… When Nathan gets out of prison, a series of family reunions begins. The most spectacular is Jérémie’s reunion with the rest of the family: Jérémie has become Sarah, a transgender woman who owns a bookshop in Barfleur. Two insurance investigators, Céleste and Gautier, who are working with the police, also begin infiltrating the family. Céleste poses as a hotel-room thief at the Enghien casino, where Sam works as a security guard. Sam is immediately charmed by Céleste, and they spend the night together. When the family arrives in Barfleur to find Jérémie and demand an explanation about the painting, Sam encounters Céleste again, who is also on the trail of the stolen painting.
