After her grandmother dies, a young biologist volunteers at a palliative care center to understand what people need at the end of life.
The story
After her grandmother's death, Simone, a young biologist, sets out to understand what people truly need in the final moments of their lives. She becomes a volunteer at a palliative care center, where she hopes to learn from those nearing the end of life. Her friend Boris questions her apparently altruistic decision, suspecting that the work is also a way for her to distract herself from her own weakness. The film's opening conflict thus places Simone's search for understanding alongside Boris's doubts about her motives.
