To get his mother to fund a wedding that does not exist, Benoît recruits an Uber driver to pose as his fiancée.

The story

Benoît is in debt after persuading a crook to invest in a cryptocurrency venture that lost money. When his usual request for financial help is refused by his mother, he invents an engagement and plans to extract the wedding funds from her. She invites Benoît and his supposed fiancée to Marrakech to meet the whole family. His first choice for the role, a friend, withdraws at the last minute. With the airport ride looming, Benoît asks the Uber driver, Fiona, to take her place for the weekend. Her impulsive temper and blunt remarks quickly complicate his scheme.
