Full plot (contains spoilers)
Nathalie, a rebellious teenager, left her mother six months ago to live with a small gang of young thugs. One day, a man named Tellier, nicknamed “the Lame,” proposes a heist to the gang: robbing a neighborhood bank. What the three young thugs do not know is that the robbery is a decoy, intended to cover an attack on an armored cash transport in the same neighborhood at the same time. The robbery fails, but the three young men still manage to escape. They meet up with the Lame, who takes them to the gangsters who manipulated them. They demand their share of the loot, but the criminals shoot one of them dead and seriously wound Nathalie. David, the third thug, comes through unhurt and alone, bringing the dying Nathalie back to her mother. From then on, Jeanne Dufour (Annie Girardot), Nathalie’s mother and a former racing driver, has only one thing on her mind: avenging her daughter’s death. She will have the indulgence of Police Commissioner Kalinsky.
