Full plot (contains spoilers)

Five years after their wedding, Greg Focker and his wife Pam are preparing to celebrate the fifth birthday of their twin children while planning a move. When his in-laws Jack and Dina Byrnes arrive, Jack—suffering from a heart condition—names Greg as his successor, 'The Godfocker.' Jack becomes suspicious of Greg's integrity due to his involvement with a drug representative, Andi Garcia, and his promotion of a medication called Sustengo. Simultaneously, Jack tries to convince Pam to return to her ex-fiancé, Kevin. During a confrontation at a clinic, Greg and Andi end up alone; Jack watches from a distance and misinterprets the situation. At a party, a physical altercation between Jack and Greg leads to Jack having a heart attack. Greg successfully manages the medical emergency, and Jack eventually acknowledges Greg's competence, naming him 'The Gregfocker.' The film concludes with the families moving closer together, and Jack watching videos of Greg's public antics.
