A dwarf jewel thief poses as a giant baby to retrieve a stolen diamond from a couple's home.

The story

In Chicago, Calvin "Babyface" Simms, a dwarfish convicted jewel thief, is released from prison and meets his cohort Percy. After successfully stealing a valuable diamond for a mobster, Calvin manages to stash the gem in a woman's purse. The duo follows her to her home, where they encounter a couple, Darryl and Vanessa Edwards, who are eager to have a child. Calvin and Percy hatch a plan to pass Calvin off as a baby left on the couple's doorstep to retrieve the diamond. Despite suspicions from Vanessa's father, the couple decides to look after Calvin for the weekend.

Full plot (contains spoilers)

In Chicago, Calvin "Babyface" Simms, a dwarfish jewel thief, is released from prison and meets his cohort Percy. They steal a diamond for a mobster named Mr. Walken, but Calvin stashes it in a woman's purse. They follow her home to find Darryl and Vanessa Edwards, a couple wanting a child. Calvin and Percy pose Calvin as a baby left on their doorstep. While Vanessa's father, "Pops", is suspicious, Calvin begins to enjoy the family life, especially after they throw him a birthday party. Mr. Walken demands the diamond, and Percy tries to pose as Calvin's father but is kicked out. Walken's henchmen mistake Darryl for Calvin. Darryl and Vanessa eventually find the diamond in Calvin's diaper (after Calvin drank castor oil to induce diarrhea). Pops discovers Calvin's secret and is sent to a retirement home, but leaves a nanny cam in a teddy bear. Darryl sees Calvin's confession on the cam. Walken's men arrive, and Calvin manages to rescue Darryl and have the mobsters arrested. Darryl receives a reward, and Calvin decides to leave, but Darryl eventually lets him stay. The film ends with Calvin and Pops playing with Darryl and Vanessa's real baby.
