A Secret Service agent must protect the U.S. President from a coordinated terrorist attack in London during a high-profile funeral.
The story
Following the death of the British Prime Minister, G7 leaders gather in London for a funeral. Secret Service agent Mike Banning is assigned to lead the security detail for U.S. President Benjamin Asher. However, the peace is shattered when a group of mercenaries, disguised as local authorities, launches a coordinated attack on the city, targeting major landmarks and the visiting leaders. As the city falls into chaos and the power is cut, Banning must navigate the crumbling infrastructure and a growing threat to ensure the President's safety amidst the mounting panic and the realization that the attack is part of a larger, more sinister plot.

After a drone strike on a Pakistani arms trafficker's compound, the mastermind Aamir Barkawi remains alive and seeks revenge. Two years later, during the funeral of the British Prime Minister in London, Barkawi's son, Kamran, leads a mercenary force to attack the G7 leaders. They disguise themselves as police and guards, causing mass casualties and chaos. Agent Mike Banning, tasked with protecting President Benjamin Asher, manages to get the President to safety but loses his team. In Washington, Vice President Allan Trumbull discovers Barkawi is still alive and coordinating the attack via a livestream. Banning and Asher are forced into the London Underground as the city loses power. They eventually find a safe house where they meet MI6 Agent Jacquelin Marshall. After a series of skirmishes and a chase through the city, Banning infiltrates a building where Kamran is preparing to broadcast the President's execution. Banning defeats the terrorists and destroys the building. It is revealed that MI5 Intelligence Chief John Lancaster was a mole for Barkawi; he is killed by Marshall. Barkawi is eventually killed by a drone strike. Two weeks later, Banning is at home with his wife and newborn child, and he decides to stay in his role rather than resigning.
