The story
After David returns from India, he and Lotta move in together despite her misgivings. He quickly establishes himself professionally with a job under the renowned Professor Dr. Bieler, but at home he feels overwhelmed by Lotta’s energy and pace. Both struggle with sharing a life together.

After Lotta’s boyfriend David returns from India, they move in together, despite Lotta’s misgivings. David quickly establishes himself professionally and gets a job with the renowned Professor Dr. Bieler. In private, however, he is somewhat overwhelmed by Lotta’s energy and pace. Both Lotta and David struggle with living together. They also discover that their parents are having a little fling, but it soon comes to an end. Lotta meets Paul Ostern, a street artist who lives modestly in nature. Since he clearly has skin cancer, she persuades him to see a doctor despite his lack of health insurance. When his home is demolished, Lotta takes him in temporarily. With the prospect of being cured, he regains his will to live. David, meanwhile, feels overwhelmed by his relationship with Lotta. They break up.
