The story

After failing her law studies, 27-year-old Léa keeps her failure from her parents by letting them believe she is a lawyer. To support herself, she and her best friend Bertille run an unusual agency called Book A Partner, where Léa hires herself out in roles ranging from ball girl and relationship counselor to loving daughter or pretend partner. One assignment involves a gay man who has not told his parents that he is in a relationship with a man. Léa discovers that this client is the brother of Raphaël, one of her former boyfriends. Still in love with Raphaël, she now has to navigate the awkwardness created by the role she has taken on.

Full plot (contains spoilers)

After failing her law studies, 27-year-old Léa makes her parents believe she is a lawyer. But to make a living, she has set up a rather unusual agency with her best friend Bertille: Book A Partner, where she offers her services—as a ball girl, a relationship counselor, a loving daughter, or as the partner of a gay man who doesn’t dare tell his parents he is in a relationship with a man. Léa discovers that the latter is the brother of Raphaël, one of her exes. She is still in love with him, but finds herself trapped in her own lie, since she is supposed to be his sister-in-law.
