Full plot (contains spoilers)
Seventeen-year-old Dagmar Hintze, known as Daggi, seeks out casual sexual encounters with strangers who advertise in the local press’s classifieds. During a “threesome” with a young couple, a youth welfare officer arrives with a police detective. Daggi manages to flee through the garden, barely dressed, but leaves her schoolbag behind. On her mother’s advice, she hides out with her aunt Magda, who lives in the countryside, and confesses her turbulent past to her. She falls in love with Thomas, a student who has also withdrawn to the countryside, and tries to start a new life with him. But Daggi’s furious father discovers where she is and puts her in a reform home.
