The story
Set in a post-apocalyptic desert wasteland where petrol and water are scarce commodities, the film follows Max Rockatansky, a survivor who joins forces with Imperator Furiosa. Their journey leads to a high-stakes, lengthy road battle as they fight to secure their freedom and survival in a world where resources are desperately guarded by those in power.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
Max Rockatansky is captured by Immortan Joe's War Boys and taken to the Citadel, where he is forced to provide blood for a sick soldier. Meanwhile, Furiosa leads a group of 'wives' in a War Rig to trade for supplies. When Joe discovers the women are fleeing, he pursues them with his entire army. Max and Furiosa find themselves joined together during the chase. After surviving a sandstorm and various obstacles, they attempt to reach the 'Green Place.' They eventually reach a sanctuary of the Vuvalini, but are intercepted by Joe's forces. In a final confrontation, Furiosa kills Immortan Joe, and Max saves her life by transfusing his blood. The film ends with the survivors at the Citadel while Max disappears into the crowd.
