When she learns that a dangerous man named Ezekiel Sims is hunting three young women who are destined to become powerful figures, she must intervene. Full plot (contains spoilers)
In 1973, Constance Webb discovers a spider with healing properties in the Amazon, but is betrayed and left for dead by Ezekiel Sims. Her daughter, Cassandra (Cassie), grows up as a paramedic in New York City. After a near-death experience, Cassie begins seeing the future. She learns that Ezekiel, who possesses limited precognition, is hunting three girls—Julia, Anya, and Mattie—because he believes they will eventually kill him. Cassie intervenes to save them, and the group eventually flees to a remote location. After a ritual in the Amazon, Cassie's powers are fully unlocked, and she learns the truth about her mother's sacrifice. In a final confrontation at a fireworks factory, Cassie manages to defeat Ezekiel but is left physically scarred and partially paralyzed, though her clairvoyance becomes even clearer. She ultimately prepares to mentor the three girls as they prepare for their future roles.
