Full plot (contains spoilers)
Twelve-year-old Madison is a track cyclist who looks up to her father, Timo, an international professional cyclist, and strives to follow in his footsteps. He named his daughter after the two-rider team event, a track cycling discipline. After an unfortunate incident forces her to leave training camp, she has to spend the summer in the Tyrolean mountains with her mother, who teaches yoga during the holidays. The unwanted vacation throws Madison and her training schedule off track, but she makes new friends in Vicky and Jo and swaps her racing bike for a mountain bike. Madison also manages to gain some distance from her disciplined life as an athlete and free herself from her father’s expectations. She realizes how exhausting it is to go it alone, and that sport is also about sticking together, being able to rely on one another, and having fun.
