Magische Momente: Ein himmlisch fauler Engel (2019)

The angel-in-training Addi 2 is sent to Earth at Christmas to accompany eleven-year-old Marie on her journey to her grandmother. She is supposed to help the serious girl rediscover the carefree joy of childhood that she lost after her mother died in an accident when Marie was very young. Addi, who wants nothing to do with the pre-Christmas rush or too much work, agrees to the mission only reluctantly. Since Marie also has no interest in her companion’s jokes and would rather quietly do her homework, Addi expects a leisurely journey. But when the tickets are checked, she cannot find them, and the two have to get off at the next station. Her superior in Heaven, the First Secretary, sends the tickets after them on the wind. Addi steals a car, and the two catch up with the train and are able to get back on. Meanwhile, the exemplary angel Emma 7 watches Addi’s mission anxiously from Heaven. When Marie wants to leave the train at the next stop, Emma asks the First Secretary to intervene. He blocks the train’s onward journey with a rockslide, allowing Emma to get on board. Addi soon discovers that Emma is Marie’s mother and that, contrary to the rules, she had concealed this relationship in Heaven so she could meet her daughter in secret as part of the mission. Addi feels sorry for Emma and promises to take good care of Marie. The next morning, she finally manages to make Marie laugh again for the first time by starting a snowball fight. The First Secretary declares Addi’s mission successfully completed. After safely handing Marie over to her grandmother, Addi, now an angel, also returns to Heaven.
