A prince must reclaim his destiny as a legendary warrior to save his home planet from an evil sorcerer.
The story
In the capital city of Eternia, young Prince Adam and his friend Teela are trained in battle by Duncan. When the city is attacked by the warlock Skeletor, Adam's parents are captured, and the Sorceress sends Adam through a portal to Earth to protect him. Fifteen years later, an adult Adam living in Oklahoma City becomes obsessed with finding the Sword of Power. After receiving a mysterious tip, he reclaims the sword and is immediately hunted by Skeletor's forces. He is rescued by Teela, and the two flee to the ruins of Eternia, where they must find a way to unite the remaining warriors against the villain's rule.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
After being separated from his home planet Eternia as a child, Prince Adam grows up on Earth and eventually reunites with his friend Teela. Together, they travel to the ruins of Eternos to find the other warriors. After initially being dismissed by the warriors, Adam uses the Sword of Power to summon the strength of Grayskull, transforming into a warrior to defeat the villainous Trap Jaw. Skeletor eventually demands the sword as ransom for Adam's parents. During a confrontation at Snake Mountain, Adam's father is mortally wounded. Later, at Castle Grayskull, Adam faces Skeletor and his advisor Evil-Lyn. After a ritual and a fierce battle, Adam realizes the power of Grayskull comes from within him. He defeats Skeletor, destroys his staff, and saves his people. Six months later, Adam is officially known as He-Man, and his sister Adora is discovered on the neighboring planet Etheria.
