At first glance, 14-year-old Lilith looks like an ordinary teenager. But she is the Devil’s daughter, and his headquarters are in a high-rise building in Frankfurt am Main. Lilith really does feel that her life is hell, because her strict father gives her hardly any freedom; he also thinks she is too young to work as a devil. She would love to be truly wicked, but she is only allowed to do that online and under the supervision of her private tutor. Bored, she wants to go out into the world and show what she can do. So she strikes a deal with her father and is allowed to spend a week on Earth. If she can tempt a good person into becoming evil within that week, she can stay there. Otherwise, she has to return to the hellish boredom and take a job in her father’s accounting department. In the quiet town of Birkenbrunn, Lilith’s father chooses the kindhearted Greta Birnstein as his target. Lilith moves in with Greta’s warmhearted family. Greta is the eldest daughter of the Birnstein family and, in Lilith’s opinion, a strange girl. Lilith sets about her mission. However, Greta proves to be a tougher case than expected, since she doesn’t have a trace of wickedness in her. At school, Lilith also faces another problem in the form of her classmate Samuel, whom she falls in love with (devils aren’t allowed to love). Time is running out, and Lilith has to deliver results at last. Her father wants to come to the school festival to inspect his daughter’s wicked handiwork and the chaos she has caused. As Lilith and Greta become friends, Lilith’s original plan increasingly fades into the background and is even put in jeopardy, since she ultimately no longer sees herself as capable of being evil. Friendship makes anything possible: With a not entirely well-behaved stage performance, a few wicked pranks, and a little nail polish that even lets her outsmart the Devil, Greta manages to make sure Lilith is allowed to stay with her.
