The story
In August, seven 25-year-old friends find themselves spending a few days in the town where they grew up, in Hauts-de-Seine, in the southwestern suburbs of Paris. Each has a different reason for being there: some still live there, while others have come back for family reasons. Some look for traces of a persistent adolescence; others may hope to escape idleness or find love. The story follows them individually and as a group over a week, through the deserted streets of the ghost town. As the days pass beneath the deep blue August sky, each senses their shared moments may be the last.

August, in the Hauts-de-Seine, in the southwestern suburbs of Paris: seven 25-year-old friends find themselves spending a few days, more or less, in the town where they grew up. Each has their own reason for being there: some still live there, others have come back for family reasons, some are looking for traces of a persistent adolescence, and others may be hoping to escape idleness or find love... For a week, we follow them both separately and as a group. In the deserted streets of this ghost town, as the days slip by beneath August’s deep blue sky, each carries the intuition that these moments together may be the last...
