Full plot (contains spoilers)
In modern football, which generates billions of euros, the transfer window is a crucial period—a world where the financial stakes reach dizzying heights. Driss Berzane is a players’ agent on the brink. He is close to bankruptcy, has no apartment, and sleeps in his office. Above all, Demba is demanding money from him for having once helped him with Mehdi Bentarek’s transfer to Paris Saint-Germain. Demba gives him eight days to pay. Before that deadline and before the transfer window closes, Driss will try everything to find the money and prove that he is still a good agent. At the same time, he has to manage his clients’ careers and personal lives, especially Mehdi’s: he has been injured for a year and has tested positive for cocaine. Driss is also looking after Erwin, a 12-year-old prodigy who has been spotted by a major club in Salzburg. To get back on his feet, Driss also tries to sign Félix Gassama, a Real Madrid star whose agent has just died. He negotiates behind the scenes with the player’s brother, Victor. Meanwhile, Driss must deal with his private life and the presence of his son Abel, who disapproves of his father’s profession and of football’s commercial side. But the agent suffers a series of setbacks at the end of the transfer window: Mehdi Bentarek’s transfer to Lille is called off after he sleeps with the fiancée of Lille’s captain; Erwin refuses to leave Paris for a professional career in Salzburg; and Félix Gassama turns down the biggest contract in history with a Saudi club in order to stay in Madrid. Only on the final day of the transfer window does Driss manage to reach an agreement to send Mehdi to Naples. But to make it happen, the player will have to play in a match for PSG, for whom he has not played in a year, watched by the sporting director of the Naples club that wants to buy him, as well as by Driss and Demba’s gang...
