A murder at Lake Pavin leads two investigators to an old local legend.
The story
A woman is found dead at Lake Pavin, and the circumstances suggest that the murder draws on an old local legend about the fishermen of Besse, who were buried by God and then covered by the devil’s tears. Captain Romagnat, who knew the victim, is placed in charge of the investigation alongside Chief Warrant Officer Aurélie Lefaivre. As they begin looking into the case, the connection between the killing and the legend provides the central mystery.
