Full plot (contains spoilers)
After a scientist warns the IMF about the creation of the Chimera virus, agent Sean Ambrose goes rogue and steals the cure, Bellerophon. Ethan Hunt teams up with Nyah Nordoff-Hall, a thief and Ambrose's ex-girlfriend, to track him down. The plot involves a race against time as the virus has a 20-hour dormant period. During a confrontation at a facility, Nyah injects herself with the virus to keep it from Ambrose. Ethan eventually infiltrates a storage facility where he faces off against Ambrose's men. In a final showdown on a beach, Ethan defeats Ambrose in a fistfight and provides the cure to Nyah. The film concludes with the IMF clearing Nyah's record and Ethan starting a vacation with her.
