Full plot (contains spoilers)
Sybille Garnier (Élodie Fontan), an ambitious young Parisian executive, thinks she’s landed the deal of the century by buying Ferran Beitialarrangoïta’s (Daniel Prévost) hardware store in the Basque Country for next to nothing. But she learns that Ferran is under a legal guardianship arrangement. So she has to negotiate with his nephew, Ramuntxo (Florent Peyre), to acquire the shop, which is supposed to become a supermarket. Ramuntxo, a singer in his spare time and Basque through and through, is going to make life difficult for her. Sybille, accompanied by her intern and future brother-in-law, Gaëtan Moralès, digs in against the Basques, who are ready to do anything to keep their store. She has to succeed, or she’ll lose her job. And so begins a game of cat and mouse between the city girl and the man who loves his homeland.
