A girl balances her first love with caring for her younger brother, whose illness keeps him out of sunlight.

The story

Six-year-old Paul has an incurable illness that means he must not be exposed to sunlight. The condition shapes his family’s daily life, especially that of his sister Lisa, who is twice his age. The siblings spend their days together, turning imagination into shared adventures: Paul is a lost space captain, and Lisa plays the scientist accompanying him. Lisa’s world becomes more complicated when she falls in love with Simon. Paul notices that his sister’s attention is no longer exclusively his, while his worsening condition leaves Lisa struggling to balance her first love with the care her brother needs.
