The story

When a will leaves an entire fortune to Klára, excluding her sister Viktoria, resentment grows between the two women. Viktoria runs an establishment called “The Green Flute” and watches as Klára attracts men, a contrast that deepens her jealousy. She decides to kill Klára with an undetectable poison intended to cause illness and death after several weeks. Viktoria pours it into her sister’s glass, but is disappointed when nothing happens immediately. She then gives some of the poison to a dog in her house, unaware that her Siamese cat, Morgiana, may have consumed it instead. Klára falls ill and begins experiencing hallucinations.
