An ex-con seeks revenge against a mobster who framed him and stole his girlfriend in 1970s Detroit.
The story
In 1977 Detroit, Vietnam War veteran and factory worker John Miller completes his probation. He believes he has found happiness with his girlfriend, Sophia, until a local mobster named Reynolds, her abusive ex-boyfriend, intervenes. Reynolds conspires with a corrupt detective to frame John for a crime, resulting in John being sentenced to 25 years in prison while Sophia is forced back into Reynolds' life. The film follows John's journey through his imprisonment and his eventual quest for justice against the man who destroyed his life.

In 1977 Detroit, John Miller, a Vietnam veteran, is framed by a mobster named Reynolds who wants to reclaim his ex-girlfriend, Sophia. After John is sentenced to 25 years, his friends Youngblood and Singh help him escape prison. During a rescue attempt at Reynolds' home, Sophia is shot and killed by Reynolds. Years later, John and his allies arm themselves and launch a violent assault on Reynolds' operations. After a bloody confrontation where his allies are killed and a corrupt cop is defeated, John eventually tracks down an elderly Reynolds in 1997. In a final confrontation at a mansion, John confronts the mobster and kills him to complete his revenge.
