Sisters Katherine, Victoria, and Georgina return to their family home in the English countryside for the wedding of their mother, Diana, to her third husband, Geoff Loveglove. Katherine is a Royal Navy captain struggling with her father's death; Victoria is a Hollywood actress with a wealthy French lover, Jerome; and Georgina is a nurse who suspects her husband Jeremy's infidelity. During the reception, Victoria's lover arrives uninvited, and the sisters watch footage of Jeremy's affair. Tensions boil over as they argue about their father's death and past choices. Katherine learns her girlfriend, Jack, is pregnant via IVF without her consent, and she initially refuses to co-parent. A chaotic incident occurs when Victoria's son climbs a tree, leading to a confrontation between Victoria and Diana. At the graves of their fathers, Diana reveals she knew Katherine wouldn't change her last name and urges the daughters to let go of the past.
