The story
After losing her job at a cookie company, a struggling single mother named Taylor Jacobson faces financial hardship. To secure her daughter's future, she accepts a desperate plan to pose as an elderly man named 'Hugh' to work as the Santa Claus for a local ski resort. The situation becomes complicated when the resort's new manager, Matthew Layne, begins to suspect her identity while she simultaneously finds herself falling in love with him. As the holiday season approaches, Taylor must navigate the complexities of her double life while trying to keep her secret from the management and the public.

Taylor Jacobson, a single mother, is laid off from her job at Clotz' Cookies. To pay rent and help her daughter Zoey join a snowboarding class, she agrees to be disguised as an elderly man named 'Hugh' to work as Santa at Sun Peak ski resort. She is hired by the resort's marketing VP, Natasha, and meets the resort's son and manager, Matthew Layne. Matthew, who previously encountered Taylor in a record shop, becomes intrigued by 'Hugh'. Meanwhile, Taylor's neighbor Doralee becomes infatuated with the 'elderly' man. As 'Hugh' becomes a local sensation after a viral video, Taylor and Matthew begin to bond. At a resort party, Taylor's identity is threatened when Natasha discovers her social security number. During a chaotic moment where Zoey is injured, Taylor's disguise fails, and she reveals her true identity to the crowd. Despite the initial scandal, Matthew stands by her. Ultimately, Taylor and Matthew confess their feelings and join each other on stage during a concert to apologize and celebrate the spirit of the season.
