A medical student takes a night-watch job like her father’s, only to find herself confronting the legacy of a killer who once terrorized her family.
The story
Thirty years after a series of murders during Martin’s temporary job as a night watchman at the forensic medicine department, the events still haunt his family. His daughter Emma decides to fund her medical studies by taking the same kind of work. When she discovers that the killer from that earlier case is still alive, she visits him in prison, hoping to confront her family’s trauma. He initially appears blind and apathetic in a dark isolation cell. Soon afterward, murders begin again at Emma’s nighttime workplace, bearing the imprisoned man’s signature. Emma and her friend Frederik begin their own investigation.

The series of murders during Martin’s temporary job as a night watchman at the forensic medicine department still haunts his family thirty years later. Nevertheless, his daughter Emma decides to finance her medical studies in the same way. When she learns that the killer from back then is still alive, she wants to visit him in prison and confront her family’s trauma. At first, she finds him blind and apathetic in a dark isolation cell. Shortly afterward, another series of murders begins at her nighttime workplace, once again bearing the signature of the imprisoned man. Together with her friend Frederik, Emma conducts a private investigation into the case.
