A successful architect’s attempted suicide leaves those closest to him searching for an explanation.
The story
Jan Sebek appears to have a life many would envy: he is an architect with a promising career, a loving wife, money, and friends. Yet he has tried to kill himself, leaving his wife, loved ones, friends, and colleagues struggling to understand why. The story begins with this stark contradiction between outward success and a life-threatening act, and centers on the questions raised among the people around Jan.
