Full plot (contains spoilers)
A young Russian German, torn between a new love and his criminal past, fights for a fresh start in Berlin. “Nemez” is what his boss, art thief Georgij, calls the young Russian German Dima; the word is Russian and means “German.” Released from juvenile detention, Dima wants to start a new life in Berlin. But his past won’t let go of him: Georgij doesn’t want to give up his services, and Dima’s father, who doesn’t feel at home in Germany, wants to return to Russia with the family. Only his love for Nadja, an art student, gives Dima hope, but his criminal connections threaten to bring them both to ruin. Dima must risk everything to find his way to himself.
