An anthology of eleven short films explores various stories of love set across the five boroughs of New York City.

The story

New York, I Love You is an anthology film featuring eleven short stories, each directed by a different filmmaker. The narratives are unified by the central theme of love and are set across the five boroughs of New York City. A unique structural element distinguishes it from its predecessor: a videographer is seen filming the various characters throughout the different segments, providing a connective thread across the diverse stories of the city.

Full plot (contains spoilers)

The film is an anthology consisting of eleven short films, each directed by a different filmmaker, all centered on the theme of love within the five boroughs of New York City. Unlike the previous film in the series, these shorts are linked by a videographer who films the characters. While the original cut for the Toronto International Film Festival included 14 shorts, two were removed for the wide release: 'These Vagabond Shoes' by Scarlett Johansson and 'Apocrypha' by Andrei Zvyagintsev, following negative feedback from a focus group.
