The story
After being denied parole and escaping from prison, Colin Evans stalks his ex-fiancée before crashing his car during a storm. He encounters Terri Granger, a stay-at-home mother, and asks to use her phone. Despite her initial apprehension, Terri invites him into her home. However, the situation quickly turns violent when Colin's true intentions are revealed. Terri must fight to protect her children from the dangerous intruder who has invaded her sanctuary, leading to a harrowing struggle for her family's lives.

Colin Evans, a man sentenced to 15 years for manslaughter, escapes from prison after killing his guards. While on the run, he murders his ex-fiancée, Alexis, and crashes his car in a storm. He seeks help from Terri Granger, a stay-at-home mother, who lets him into her home. Colin kills Terri's friend, Meg, and takes Terri and her children hostage. After a violent struggle where Terri manages to briefly incapacitate him, Colin forces her to drive him to Alexis's house. There, Terri discovers her husband, Jeffrey, is having an affair with Alexis. Realizing Colin wants revenge on Jeffrey, Terri manages to mislead Colin, eventually grabbing his gun and shooting him until he falls from a window. In the aftermath, Terri leaves her husband after learning of his infidelity and eventually returns to her career and a new home.
