Full plot (contains spoilers)
It tells the story of Ezequiel “Zequi” Alcántara (Omar Chaparro), a thief who, after getting out of prison, decides to return to the vacant lot where his accomplice buried the money. To his surprise, the lot has become the gymnasium of Frida Kahlo High School. To get the money back, he forges documents to get into the school as a substitute teacher. He succeeds in getting hired, but he hadn’t counted on being assigned a class of unruly, rebellious, ill-mannered students who are always playing mean pranks on their teachers, especially class 4B. At first, he doesn’t care what happens, but everything changes when he is the one who has to teach that group. To curb their behavior, Zequi shows the students his tough side, which makes them all afraid of him. Meanwhile, he gets to know the school’s faculty, starting with the principal, Gaby (Mónica Dionne), who is very strict with both students and teachers. He also meets Lucy (Martha Higareda), the school’s sweetest, most tender-hearted teacher, with whom he has many hilarious encounters. As time passes, Zequi learns to become a better person, although he does not give up looking for the stolen money. At the same time, he teaches his students not to be bad or rebellious like he once was. His students even come to respect him, and Lucy learns to be more easygoing with them. Unfortunately, Lucy accidentally discovers Zequi and learns about the plan that was underway, leaving her disappointed because she was in love with him. Ironically, Zequi has also fallen in love with Lucy, so he decides to return the money and declare his love to her. Although the principal learns about Zequi’s past, she would rather deny that any of it happened because she values the positive results he achieved with the problem students, so she validates his documents and grants him the title of certified teacher. At the graduation party, the students celebrate with a performance by the musical group Reik, while Zequi and Lucy declare their love for each other.
