Bond must confront a deadly bioweapon and a ruthless villain in his final mission as 007.

The story

No Time to Die follows James Bond, who has retired from active service in MI6. He is recruited by the CIA to extract a kidnapped scientist carrying deadly DNA-targeting nanobots. This mission leads Bond to uncover a plot by the bioterrorist Lyutsifer Safin, who intends to use the nanobots to kill millions of people. Bond must navigate a dangerous landscape of international intrigue and personal history to stop the threat.

Full plot (contains spoilers)

The story begins with a flashback where Madeleine Swann witnesses her mother's murder by Lyutsifer Safin. In the present, Bond and Madeleine travel to Italy, where Bond is attacked by SPECTRE operatives. Five years later, Bond is tasked by his CIA ally Felix Leiter to extract scientist Valdo Obruchev from a party in Cuba. During the mission, Bond faces the threat of Project Heracles, a nanobot bioweapon. Bond eventually confronts the imprisoned Blofeld, who dies from exposure to the nanobots. Bond then reunites with Madeleine in Norway, where they discover a plot by Safin to distribute the nanobots. In a final confrontation at Safin's facility, Bond and Madeleine face off against Safin's forces. Bond ultimately sacrifices himself to ensure the destruction of the facility and the safety of Madeleine and her daughter, Mathilde, while confirming his love for them before he is killed by the resulting explosion.
