A man tasked with building an ark to survive a coming flood must navigate the complexities of faith, family, and the moral decay of the world.
The story
In a world facing moral decay, Noah, a man haunted by visions of a great flood, seeks guidance from his grandfather, Methuselah. After discovering a mysterious seed and receiving help from the Watchers—fallen angels stranded on Earth—Noah begins the arduous task of constructing an ark to preserve life. As the construction progresses, he faces opposition from the followers of Tubal-cain, who seek to destroy the ark. Amidst the growing tension and the gathering of animals, Noah must navigate the challenges of protecting his family and the innocent, while grappling with his role as a chosen vessel of the Creator's will before the rains begin.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
After a childhood trauma, Noah lives with his wife Naameh and three sons. Following visions of a flood, he consults his grandfather Methuselah and adopts an orphan girl, Ila. With the help of the Watchers (fallen angels), Noah builds an ark. He faces a conflict with Tubal-cain, a descendant of Cain, who seeks to destroy the ark. During the construction, Noah's sons find companionship, and Ila becomes pregnant. When the flood begins, Tubal-cain's forces attack. Noah's family enters the ark, while Methuselah is swept away and the Watchers sacrifice themselves to defend the ark. Inside, a conflict arises over Ila's pregnancy; Noah initially intends to kill the children to keep the world uncorrupted but ultimately spares them out of love. After the flood, Noah finds solace in wine while his children eventually reconcile and witness the creation of a new world.
