Nordvest (2013)

In Copenhagen’s notorious Nordvest district, 18-year-old Casper (Gustav Dyekjær Giese) lives with his mother Olivia (Lene Maria Christensen), his younger brother Andy (Oscar Dyekjær Giese), and his younger sister Freja. Most days are spent hanging out and breaking into luxury villas in North Zealand with his regular partner in crime, Robin (Kidd). They sell the stolen goods to Jamal (Dulfi Al-Jabouri), an immigrant who runs a small gang in the neighborhood. But Casper is tired of Jamal constantly cheating him out of money, and then Bjørn (Roland Møller), a pimp with biker-gang connections, enters the picture, offering Casper better prices for his stolen goods. At first, Casper isn’t interested, but when Jamal’s men beat up his little brother Andy, he’s had enough. He subsequently joins Bjørn’s criminal world, which involves Eastern European prostitutes and cocaine dealing. He quickly rises to become a driver for the prostitutes and a cocaine dealer. But Jamal hasn’t forgotten his former partner, and as tensions between Bjørn and Jamal escalate, Casper’s childhood neighborhood turns into a full-fledged battleground. Casper is now caught in a conflict that threatens to destroy him and his family.
