Two sisters devise a surrogacy plan that requires one to conceal her pregnancy while the other pretends to be pregnant.
The story
Livia, a cellist, and Tina, a municipal police officer, are sisters living with their respective partners: Fabio, an osteopath, and Gianni, also a municipal police officer. Tina is unable to have children, while Livia is capable of doing so but firmly opposed to motherhood. After advice from their gynecologist, Nicola, Livia decides to become a surrogate for Tina. They agree to conceal the arrangement by having Livia hide her growing bump as Tina presents herself as pregnant. Their plan draws the sisters and their family members into a series of absurd situations.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
Livia, a cellist, and Tina, a municipal police officer, are two sisters who live with their respective boyfriends, Fabio, an osteopath, and Gianni, who is also a municipal police officer. On the advice of their gynecologist, Nicola, Livia—perfectly capable of having children but firmly opposed to motherhood, to the point of repeatedly asking to have her tubes tied—decides to act as a surrogate mother for Tina, who is unable to have children. So, throughout the pregnancy, Livia will have to hide her baby bump while Tina pretends to be pregnant. The two women thus find themselves caught up in a series of absurd situations that also involve the other members of the family.
