Full plot (contains spoilers)
Bear, a music store employee, secretly loves his coworker Nikki. After his cat dies, he buys a 'One Wish Willow' and wishes Nikki would love him more than anyone else. Nikki immediately becomes obsessed with him, claiming her father is dying and her erratic behavior is due to drugs. However, Bear soon discovers she lied about both. The situation escalates when Nikki begins acting violently, including a scene where she stabs herself. After a series of escalating incidents, including a party where Nikki kills a woman named Sarah after a confrontation, Bear tries to use more 'One Wish Willows' to undo his initial wish. He eventually finds Sarah's body and faces a desperate Nikki who is armed and dangerous. During a chaotic confrontation involving their friend Ian, who is shot by Nikki, Bear consumes drugs to cope. In the final moments, Nikki breaks the last Willow, and Bear dies while kissing her. The film ends with Nikki alone, horrified by the carnage she caused.
