A newly paroled con artist assembles a team of women to pull off a high-stakes heist at the Met Gala.
The story
Newly paroled con artist Debbie Ocean, the younger sister of Danny Ocean, reunites with her former partner Lou Miller to plan an ambitious new heist. The target is the Toussaint, a $150 million diamond necklace owned by Cartier, which Debbie intends to steal during the upcoming Met Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC. To execute the plan, Debbie and Lou assemble a team of specialists: a struggling fashion designer, a skilled jeweler, a proficient hacker, a street hustler, and a suburban mother who fences stolen goods. The plan hinges on convincing actress Daphne Kluger to wear the necklace so the team can manipulate its access.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
Debbie Ocean and her partner Lou Miller plan to steal the Toussaint diamond necklace during the Met Gala in New York City. They recruit a team of specialists: Rose (fashion designer), Amita (jeweler), Nine Ball (hacker), Constance (pickpocket), and Tammy (fence). They also involve actress Daphne Kluger, who is manipulated into wearing the necklace. During the Gala, the team successfully swaps the real necklace for a replica while framing a man named Claude Becker for the crime. Later, it is revealed that Lou and an associate also stole a different set of royal jewels, replacing them with replicas. The team successfully escapes with the loot, and each member moves on to a new life, while Debbie finds peace by visiting her brother's grave.
