To avenge a friend, Danny Ocean and his crew must execute a complex heist at a high-stakes casino in Las Vegas.
The story
After a casino mogul, Willy Bank, swindles his friend Reuben Tishkoff out of his ownership stake in a Las Vegas hotel-casino, Reuben becomes bedridden. To avenge him, Danny Ocean gathers his crew to sabotage Bank's plans on the grand opening night of 'The Bank.' The heist involves two primary goals: preventing the casino from winning a prestigious award and rigging the games to ensure the casino loses its license. However, the team must contend with 'the Greco,' a sophisticated artificial intelligence system designed to detect cheating, while navigating the complexities of a high-stakes gambling environment.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
To avenge Reuben Tishkoff, who was swindled by Willy Bank, Danny Ocean and his crew plan to sabotage Bank's new casino, 'The Bank,' on its opening night. Their plan involves rigging the games and sabotaging the 'Greco' AI system using a disguised magnetron. They also plan to simulate an earthquake to force an evacuation. During the operation, they must deal with a stolen diamond collection from Terry Benedict, who hired a master thief, François Toulour, to intercept them. The team uses a series of decoys, including a fake FBI arrest and a secret switch of the diamonds. Ultimately, the heist succeeds: the rigged machines pay out millions, the 'Greco' is bypassed, and the team secures the diamonds while the public is evacuated. In the aftermath, Ocean's crew uses their winnings to buy property for Reuben, and they donate Benedict's share to charity, forcing him to publicly admit his philanthropy.
