Full plot (contains spoilers)
At the height of the October Crisis of 1970, the four members of the Chénier cell of the FLQ kidnap Pierre Laporte, the Minister of Labour and Immigration, in order to force the government to negotiate the release of FLQ political prisoners. For a week, hour by hour, day after day, the four men in the house on Armstrong Street make history and will forever change Quebec’s political landscape and the reach of the Quebec sovereignty movement, both nationally and internationally. We live alongside the five men who, backed into a corner by those in power, trapped by the relentless logic of events and swept along by the weight of things, face their fate one by one. At the end of a week in captivity, fate will decide the outcome for the minister and the FLQ members. An ending both tragic and heroic. A necessary and unjustifiable death… Indeed, the police find the minister’s body in the trunk of a car. What happened?
