Oranges sanguines (2021)

Three stories, several lives, presented in a very raw, no-holds-barred way: Laurence and Olivier, a cash-strapped retired couple whose bank accounts are overdrawn, are summoned by their banker. They are counting on the prize awarded in a rock competition they are taking part in to cover their upcoming payments and pay off part of their debt, but the contest jury will decide otherwise. A minister of the economy and finance, worriedly discussing with his advisers, including his lawyer, a press investigation that could reveal he has accounts abroad, has no idea what awaits him around a bend in a country road when his car breaks down in the middle of the night. A teenage girl who seems to dread her first sexual experience visits her gynecologist and then some girlfriends to get advice, but has no idea what awaits her around a street corner as she wanders about in the middle of the night—and she will have a good lawyer, more sympathetic to her than to her cash-strapped parents. As for the story of this sexual pervert (the man should have known that this pastime is not necessarily relaxing, and that he should have avoided going out at night), it is no better than that of the taxi driver who is not attentive enough.
