Full plot (contains spoilers)
The unemployed Philipp and the student Enis live in Berlin and meet at a gym. A deep friendship develops between the two young men. What Enis doesn’t know is that Philipp is bisexual and has been in love with him from the very first moment. When Philipp wins a trip for two to Corfu, he asks his friend to come along. Enis, who is in a committed relationship with Kristina, isn’t enthusiastic at first, but Philipp eventually persuades him. At first, the two enjoy carefree days on vacation, but Philipp is suffering because of his repressed feelings for Enis. He doesn’t dare confess them, afraid that it would ruin their friendship. He seeks refuge in a flirtation with another vacationer, but she is married, and he gets into a fight with her jealous husband. While hiking, Philipp and Enis lose their way and come across Hercules, a local. They spend the evening together, and Hercules tells them stories from Greek mythology. That night, they both have the same dream. The next morning, they set off back to the hotel, stop at a secluded beach along the way, and swim naked in the sea. They start playfully wrestling, and suddenly the atmosphere between them becomes charged with erotic tension. They kiss passionately and sleep together. The next morning is the day they leave. Enis is like a different person. He says no more than necessary to Philipp. Back home in Berlin, he simply leaves Philipp standing at the airport, stops answering his calls, and doesn’t show up at the gym either. From an employee, Philipp learns that Enis has deregistered. Deeply hurt by this rejection, Philipp decides to take a job as an entertainer in Greece and leave Berlin to forget his unhappy love. Meanwhile, Enis is confused by his feelings for Philipp. He doesn’t want to admit to himself that he has fallen in love with him. His girlfriend has long suspected something and tries to draw him out so he will acknowledge his feelings. But at first Enis remains stubborn. Only when Philipp asks him to talk before saying goodbye can he no longer deny his feelings to himself. As they part, Philipp presses a plane ticket into his hand and leaves it up to him whether or not to come along. Enis goes home, packs his bags, breaks up with Kristina, and rushes to the airport. Philipp is already waiting for him there, and the two fly to Greece.
