The story
After being sent to London by his adoptive aunt, a young bear named Paddington arrives at a train station and is taken in by the Brown family. While the family finds the polite bear endearing, they are unaware that a determined taxidermist, Millicent Clyde, is searching for him to add him to her collection. As Paddington tries to navigate his new life in the city and find his origins, he must navigate the complexities of his new home while evading the woman who seeks to capture him.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
In the jungles of Peru, an explorer leaves two intelligent bears, Lucy and Pastuzo, with a hat and a promise of a home in London. Forty years later, after Pastuzo's death, Lucy's orphaned nephew travels to London and is found at a station by the Brown family. While the family welcomes him, a taxidermist named Millicent Clyde seeks to capture him for her collection. Paddington seeks his origins through the Geographers' Guild, where he discovers the truth about his past. Meanwhile, Millicent and her neighbor, Mr. Curry, attempt to capture him, leading to a fire and a chase. Ultimately, the Browns rescue Paddington from Millicent at the Natural History Museum. She is sentenced to community service, and the Browns officially welcome Paddington as a permanent member of their family.
